Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) Notice
In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA)
1. Purpose of Processing
H Zone Tracing (Pty) Ltd processes personal information strictly for legitimate, lawful purposes, including assisting legal practitioners with service of court process, debt recovery, asset identification, verification of credentials, and corporate risk mitigation.
2. Lawful Grounds and Authority
We process personal information where:
- Processing is necessary to carry out actions for the conclusion or performance of a contract or mandate;
- Processing complies with an obligation imposed by law or legal proceedings;
- Processing protects a legitimate interest of the data subject or instructing party;
- Processing is necessary for pursuing the legitimate interests of the responsible party or of a third party to whom the information is supplied.
Services are only provided for lawful purposes. Certain services require appropriate consent or legal authority, and requests may be refused if authority cannot be established.
3. Information Security and Safeguards
Personal information must be processed and stored appropriately. We apply operational safeguards and restricted digital access controls to protect all confidential documents, search requests, and tracing results against unauthorized access or alteration.
4. Accuracy and Third-Party Registers
Results depend on the accuracy and availability of third-party records. While we verify and cross-reference multiple reputable bureau feeds and registers, we cannot guarantee absolute completeness where external records are outdated or unavailable.
